Upon meeting Yuma's rival Kite Tenjo, who is also searching for the Numbers, Astral and Yuma learn that they can combine their powers using Zexal. Astral has told Yuma that he is to search for his lost memories that have transformed into 100 Xyz monster cards called Numbers. Taking place in Heartland City, Yuma is set out to become the best of the best and although Yuma starts off fledgling and weak, a spirit known as Astral appears before Yuma and begins to help the weakling hero. The series follows the story of Yuma Tsukumo, a duelist who aspires to be the best in the world, but is lacking any skill. It's currently being broadcasted on Saban's Vortexx block and will be broadcasting new episodes in the future. However, a stay of proceedings was ordered and kept the series alive until 4 Kids declared bankruptcy and all Yu-Gi-Oh! licenses were acquired by Konami's 4K Acquisition Corp. It was brought to America by the anime production company 4 Kids Entertainment and was broadcasted on Toonzai starting on Octobut a lawsuit filed between TV Tokyo and Nihon Ad Systems against 4 Kids Entertainment nearly ended the syndication in America. The series debuted in February 2011 in V Jump magazine, a shonen manga serial and the first episode aired on TV Tokyo on Apand was concluded on September 24, 2012, totaling 73 episodes and one special. It was produced by TV Tokyo and Nihon Ad Systems of NAS for short. After the duel, it is revealed the rumor was all due to Flip and Caswell's misunderstanding, prompting a swift revenge from Rio.Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal is the fourth Japanese anime and manga series in the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise. However, Shark responds by turning her field spell against her summoning out the powerful Shark Caesar and winning the duel. As Shark shows little faith in Rio's confidence as a duelist, Bronk gives her words of encouragement, giving her the courage to summon out Ice Princess Zereort and deal damage to Shark. However, Rio is put in a pinch when Shark counters her strategy by summoning out Black Ray Lancer. Shark summons out Aero Shark whilst Rio summons Zerofyne. Believing Shark to be the cause of these rumors, Rio challenges him to a duel, which turns out to be their 100th Dueling Squabble between siblings. After Shark turns down his offer of a duel, saying he is not even at Yuma's level, Bronk jumps to conclusions and soon a rumor spreads around the school that Yuma and Rio are dating.
